Blogs

Blogs are a great way to bring school and home together. It helps families keep up to date with what children are learning . It shows the wide range of topics and experiences children have access to, as well as seeing how year groups build on previous knowledge and make progress. Our subject leads get to see what is happening in classrooms every day.

Children have been on several community visits including to the Manchester Museum, assemblies have celebrated cultural events like Eid and Black History month, Harvest festival and more.. My child's class have also visited a local recycling plant to learn about issues relating to the environment and sustainability ......Curriculum based assemblies, inclusion of parents and children in celebrations covering, religion, culture, history are just a few examples of how the curriculum is brought to life.

Curriculum Parent Survey 2023

The children were very enthusiastic about their learning and the value they place on their right to an education came through strongly. They conveyed a sense of empowerment and described a number of ways in which they are active learners including discussion of their targets and peer marking, “We give them a message about what was good and how to improve.”  Learners requiring additional support have an ‘Article 12 target’  to ensure that they have their say in the process.
